We define “PII” to mean any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person; an identifiable natural person is one who can be identified, directly or indirectly, in particular by reference to an identifier such as a name, an identification number, location data, an online identifier or to one or more factors specific to the physical, physiological, genetic, mental, economic, cultural or social identity of that natural person.

You are not legally required toprovide us with PII, however, some of the services require you to do so pursuant to this privacy policy. In these cases, if you choose to withhold or delete any PII requested by us, it may not be possible for you to access certain services. We recognize that privacy is important.   1. PII We Collect and How We Use It. In order to provide, operate, maintain, secure and improve our Services, to understand usage trends and user preferences, to adjust and personalize your use of the Services, for marketing and customer relations purposes,     to offer and operate webinars, events and demos related to our Services, for recruitment and placement purposes, to participate in our public forums, to establish and maintain business relationships, to protect our Services from threatening, fraudulent or unlawful activities, for compliance with applicable laws and regulations, or for enforcement of the relevant agreement or other legal rights, we may collect and process PII, including the following types of information:
  • PII You Provide. For some of the features of the Services we ask you to provide PII, such as full name, e-mail address, telephone number, job title, place of employment, company name, and any other information you choose to provide when contacting us,      requesting information, registering for a webinar or demo, subscribing to updates, applying for a position, or otherwise interacting with us through the Website or Services.

When you send an email or other communication to the Company, complete a contact form, register      for a webinar or demo, meet us at an event, or otherwise communicate with us, we may retain those communications in order to process your inquiries, respond to your requests, provide support, send service-related communications, and improve our Services. We may send you newsletters, updates and promotional communications, and where relevant, web push notifications, regarding the Services. You may opt out of marketing communications at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link at the bottom      of each email or by sending us a request to privacy@steakholderfoods.com. Please note that even if you opt-out of receiving the foregoing communications, we may still send you a response to any “Contact Us” request as well as administrative e-mails necessary to facilitate your use of the Services and address your inquiries.

The Services are not intended for children under the age of 18, and we do not knowingly collect PII directly from children under the age of 18 without parental consent where such consent is required by applicable law. If you are under the age of 18, please do not provide us with your PII without the involvement of a parent or legal guardian. The Company may also share your PII in the following circumstances: (a) with our     affiliates; (b) with vendors and service providers that support our business and operations, including hosting providers, website management and content platforms, CRM, e-mail, analytics, security, customer support, webinar, communications, call recording, and similar providers, and artificial intelligence-enabled tools and features that assist us in operating or improving the Services; (c) with our professional advisors, including lawyers, accountants, auditors and consultants; (d) as required for the provision, maintenance, security and improvement of the Services; (e) when permitted by you or based on your instruction; (f) to satisfy     applicable law, regulation, legal process, governmental request, or to establish, exercise or defend legal claims; (g) to detect, prevent or address fraud, security or technical issues, or prevent harm; and/or (h) ifwe become involved in a reorganization, merger, consolidation, acquisition, investment transaction, bankruptcy, or any form of sale or transfer of some or all of our assets or business, whether in connection with an actual or contemplated transaction.

We follow     generally accepted industry standards and implement reasonable technical,     organizational and administrative measures designed to protect against     unauthorized access to, or unauthorized alteration, disclosure or     destruction of, PII. However, no method of transmission over the Internet,     or method of electronic storage, is 100% secure. Therefore, while we     strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your PII, we cannot     guarantee its absolute security. We retain your PII only for as long as     reasonably necessary for the purposes for which it was collected, to     comply with applicable legal, tax, accounting or reporting requirements,     to maintain appropriate business and financial records, to resolve     disputes, to enforce our agreements, and to establish, exercise or defend     legal claims.

You may choose not to receive marketing emails from us by      clicking the unsubscribe link included in such communications or by      contacting us at privacy@steakholderfoods.com.      Please note that your opt-out request will not affect service-related,      transactional, legal, or other non-marketing communications that we may      need to send you.

We will     cooperate with the appropriate regulatory authorities, including data protection     authorities, to resolve any complaints regarding the transfer of PII that     cannot be resolved between the Company and an individual.
  2. Changes to This Privacy Policy. The     Company may update this Privacy Policy. We will notify you about     significant changes in the way we treat PII by placing a prominent notice     on the Services or sending a notice to the email address provided by you.     We encourage you to periodically review this Privacy Policy for the latest     information about our privacy practices.
